Selected Engagements

We are often asked what our work looks like in practice.

For reasons of discretion, we do not build our reputation around naming clients. What we can show is the kind of situation we are brought into, the role we play, and the outcomes we help create.

These examples reflect the kind of operational, systems, integration, and change challenges where Problems Solved adds value.

Complex forwarding transformation

Client An established Central European freight forwarder with substantial multimodal and warehousing activity, including demanding customs requirements and highly specialised operational scenarios.

Situation The client needed to replace a constrained legacy TMS with a modern platform capable of supporting detailed operational, financial, and regulatory requirements without disrupting the live business.

What we did Problems Solved worked closely with operational and finance leadership to define detailed requirements, design tailored solutions, document country-specific compliance needs, and support configuration, testing, training, and go-live readiness.

Outcome The client now operates an advanced CargoWise environment that supports a more streamlined and commercially stronger business, with ongoing collaboration in place to support future development.

Where we added value Platform optimisation, solution design, regulatory fit, training, and change delivery.

Building a new 4PL platform

Client A venture-backed entrepreneur building a new 4PL operation to support international supply chains into the United States.

Situation The challenge was to create a scalable, commercially viable operating platform that combined multiple technologies, including CargoWise, Blume, and CargoSphere, without creating unnecessary cost or complexity.

What we did Problems Solved worked closely with the client to shape the target model, define the business and technical requirements, and architect an integrated platform capable of supporting growth from the outset.

Outcome A scalable 4PL infrastructure was successfully established, giving the client a strong foundation for growth and creating a joined-up operating environment across multiple systems.

Where we added value Architecture, integration design, operating model definition, and delivery shaping.

Connecting warehousing and customer visibility

Client A UK-based international logistics provider with significant warehousing capacity, serving a major global retail customer.

Situation The business needed a warehouse management environment that could support real-time visibility, reliable two-way data exchange, and clean integration with both its own systems and those of its customer.

What we did After the implementation of Microlistics WMS, Problems Solved worked with both organisations to define the shared data flows, engagement rules, and interpretation standards needed to support clear, reliable integration.

Outcome The result was a streamlined two-way messaging model with more than 20 complex data streams, reducing duplication, improving data quality, and strengthening the operational relationship between provider and customer.

Where we added value Warehouse systems, customer integration, shared data design, and operational alignment.

Carbon visibility in transport operations

Client A global automotive technology business operating across more than 20 countries, with a strong sustainability agenda and a large, complex manufacturing footprint.

Situation The client needed a practical way to track and report CO2 emissions across shipments and transport modes, both to support policy requirements and to strengthen data-led decision-making around transport planning.

What we did Problems Solved designed an integrated, automated approach to emissions tracking at shipment level, creating clearer operational visibility and a stronger basis for transport decisions.

Outcome Within the first two months, the business had meaningful visibility of transport emissions and was able to use that insight to support more environmentally informed planning and measurable reduction activity.

Where we added value Integration, automation, operational analytics, and sustainability-focused decision support.

Establishing U.S. operations within a global model

Client An Australian logistics business within a wider international group, providing end-to-end supply chain services across multiple sectors.

Situation As the business expanded into the United States, it needed to establish local systems, suppliers, and operating processes while remaining aligned with global standards and data flows.

What we did Following a successful Blume TMS implementation, Problems Solved worked with the U.S. operation and global stakeholders to define the data model, operating consistency, and practical integration points needed to support the expansion.

Outcome The U.S. business became operational as part of the wider group model, with working interoperation between local and global teams and a stronger base for future expansion.

Where we added value Expansion support, cross-border operating model alignment, systems integration, and delivery coordination.

Global rollout, delivered country by country

Client A major global logistics organisation with a large international footprint, extensive facilities, and complex multimodal operations.

Situation The business needed to migrate away from a highly complex legacy TMS environment, with numerous integrations, local variations, and bespoke requirements across different countries.

What we did Problems Solved built specialist teams, applied disciplined business change and rollout governance, and worked closely with stakeholders across the programme to support country-by-country deployment.

Outcome The rollout progressed smoothly across multiple countries, with strong stakeholder satisfaction and a transition approach that combined structure, listening, and practical change leadership.

Where we added value Global rollout support, change management, local adoption, and programme discipline.

These examples are deliberately selective, but they illustrate the breadth of situations where Problems Solved is brought in: complex platforms, difficult integrations, business-critical change, operational improvement, and architecture that has to work in the real world.
